The now four-day event is becoming one of the biggest agricultural and country life celebrations in the UK. All tickets for the Great Yorkshire Show 2022 were sold, with none available on the gate, organisers confirmed that around 140,000 people attended the event in Harrogate.
The show was first held in 1837, traditionally a three-day event, the show was extended to four days due to Covid safety measures in 2021. Organisers said in future the show would continue to run over the new duration and decided it would be a pre-bought ticket-only event.
It was great to see the food and drink hall buzzing again with people and products. The one way system and required mask wearing from 2021 was gone, which presented a more relaxed atmosphere when interacting with people.
Sitting proudly on the Northern Powerhouse stand was a Great Yorkshire Hamper example. The guest of honour on Tuesday was the Princess Royal, who is the patron of the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society and of the Shorthorn Society of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
We had a lot of interest in our corporate gifting offer and also questions and requests for gluten free hampers.
We plan to better showcase our corporate personalisation offering which can include branded ribbon and labels. We are also working with suppliers on a gluten free hamper option to launch at Christmas 2022. All our hampers are already suitable for vegans.
